Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Nikolay Yaremko ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Function Plane mobile application and related services (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Account information you provide. When you create an account we collect your display name, email address, and password. Passwords are never stored in plaintext — they are salted and hashed by our authentication provider.
Gameplay data. We store your level progress (stars earned, best score, best time per level) so it can sync between your devices and appear on global leaderboards.
Device information. Standard technical information your browser or app sends automatically, such as approximate region, language, operating system, and version. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone input.
No advertising identifiers. We do not collect Google Advertising ID or serve advertisements.
2. How we use the information
- To create and authenticate your account
- To save and synchronize your gameplay progress between devices
- To display your name, avatar, and scores on global leaderboards
- To send service-related emails (e.g. password reset)
- To diagnose problems and improve the game
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Service providers
We rely on the following processors to operate the Service. Each handles your data only for the purposes described above and is bound by their own privacy terms:
- Supabase, Inc. — authentication, database, and storage. Data is hosted on Supabase infrastructure. See https://supabase.com/privacy
- Google Fonts (Google LLC) — fonts are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com. Google may receive your IP address as a result.
- jsDelivr / unpkg (CDN providers) — JavaScript libraries (React, Babel, Supabase JS) are served from their networks; the operator may receive your IP address.
4. Leaderboards and public information
Your display name and avatar are visible to other users on the global leaderboard alongside your total stars and per-level scores. Your email and device information are never shown publicly.
5. Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Account → Delete account). When you delete your account, your profile, progress, and leaderboard entries are removed within 30 days. Aggregate, non-identifying statistics may be retained.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to: access a copy of your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, restrict or object to processing, and lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority (in the EU/UK).
You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app or by emailing functionplane.support@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
7. Children
The Service is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: HTTPS in transit, salt + hash for passwords, row-level security to isolate accounts. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post any updates to this Privacy Policy in the app and on our website, and will update the effective date above. Material changes will be notified through the app.
